During setup, Smarther beeps to confirm that it has received a command from the remote control. If you do not hear this beep, Smarther is not configured correctly. Check the following: - Make sure the remote control batteries are full and that the remote control can control your air conditioner. - Make sure the remote control works. - Point the remote control at the Smarther from less than one meter away.
