Smart notifications in Home + Control allow you to stay informed about the availability of energy from your photovoltaic system in real-time. By setting up these notifications, you can ensure that you're alerted whenever excess energy is available, enabling you to make the most of your solar production. This guide will show you how to configure these alerts effectively to optimize your energy usage.
Before you try to set up smart notifications, make sure you have your products installed and configured correctly:
- Check all prerequisites and installation instructions here: What are the prerequisites for a photovoltaic production monitoring system in Home + Control ?
- Check that your products are properly configured in the Home + Control application here: How do I configure my modules to monitor my photovoltaic production?
Then, you can follow these steps:
1. Open the Home + Control app
Navigate to Settings, select Smart Notifications
2. Create your smart notification
After clicking on Smart Notifications, create your solar-based smart notifications. If you don't already have Smart Notifications, you have to click on Add a notification (screen on the left). If you already have a notification created, your notifications are listed, and you just have to tap the ➕ button in the bottom right corner (screen on the right).
If your solar installation is well installed and your Legrand with Netatmo connected products are well configured, you should have a template "Available solar surplus proposed"
Click on it, it is the only way to create a solar-based smart notification.
You will arrive on a page summarizing the notification settings. At this stage, you can only choose the name of the notification but cannot modify the trigger condition or the trigger time. You must therefore press Validate, and your smart notification will be created.
3. Edit your smart notification
Once your solar-based smart notification is created, you can now edit it. To edit your notification, again, navigate to Settings, select Smart Notifications.
The list of your existing smart notifications is displayed and you should see the solar-based notification you have just created. If you want to change its name, and its trigger conditions, click on the notification.
