How can we help?

How do I use PTI?

Passive thermal impact can be used to automate roller shutter management for better thermal comfort, in both summer and winter.

In winter:

  • When PTI is "High" or "Low", setting up an automation that opens the solar protections lets you benefit from the sun to help naturally warm your room.
  • Conversely, when PTI indicates "Negative", it is best to partially or fully lower your shutters to limit heat loss through your window panes.
In summer:
  • To avoid overheating the room concerned by PTI, you can partially lower* your solar protections when PTI indicates "High" or "Low", as you prefer.
*Good practice: When creating shutter-closing automations based on outdoor conditions (luminosity, temperature, etc.), we recommend keeping a minimum opening of 25%. This ensures access to your home if the shutters close automatically while you are outside without access to the Home + Control app.
