How can we help?

What is PTI (Passive Thermal Impact)?

Passive thermal impact estimates how much outdoor sunlight can naturally warm or cool a room.
By combining outdoor luminosity and your room's orientation, this indicator reflects the potential influence of environmental conditions on its thermal comfort.

This indicator has 4 levels to help you understand whether the outdoor environment is warming or cooling your room.

  • High: Strong outdoor sunlight strongly contributes to warming your room through the windows.
  • Low: Outdoor sunlight slightly contributes to warming your room through the windows.
  • Neutral: The outdoor environment has little to no influence on your room's temperature.
  • Negative: Low sunlight and low temperature tend to cool your room.
