The thermostat can only be configured with a personal Wi-Fi network. It cannot access the Internet via a public Wi-Fi network (hot-spot) or via a company Wi-Fi network with active port filtering. It is compatible with the Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n E77 standards if the security settings are set to WEP, WPA or WPA2 Personal.
