To invite a user to share control of your HomeKit Home, you must own an iOS device (iPhone, iPad, iPod) and follow these steps:
Prerequisites ⚠️
- A hub is required to invite people.
- You can only invite people with an iCloud account (iCloud e-mail address).
Steps :
1. Open the Home application on your mobile device
2. Select the house whose access you wish to share:
- In the top right-hand corner of the screen, click on the three small dots, then choose your house.
3. Go to Home Settings :
- Re-click on the three small dots, then press "Home settings".
4. Invite people:
- A page will open with, in the "People" section, the name of the home owner and an invitation button.
- Click on the "Invite people" button, add the contacts you wish to invite (name from your contact list or e-mail address), then send the invitation.
5. User management :
- People with access to control your home will appear in the "People" section, below the owner's name.
By following these steps, you can easily invite other users to share control of your HomeKit home.
