No internet is needed during the installation process. The smartphone connects directly to the gateway.
An internet connection is only required for:
• Downloading the app from the store.
• Signing in for the first time.
• Periodically downloading the latest released gateway firmware (the download is automatic) when you open the app while conected to the internet and a new firmware version is available.
