If you are unable to connect your Alexa voice control to the internet: Turn off Alexa voice control at the main power switch, then turn it back on and restart your internet/Wi-Fi router. If this does not resolve the issue and you have already manually configured your router, it is possible that the router configuration is blocking the connection to Alexa voice control. In this case, refer to your router manual and follow the instructions: Step 1: In your computer's internet browser, enter the local address of the router, in the following format: http://192.168.xx (for example http://192.168.1.1). It can be found in the router manual. Step 2: Sometimes you need a username and password. On most routers, this is “admin” and “admin”. Step 3: You can then access your router’s configuration interface. Step 4: If you are using parental controls, make sure that you have enabled Voice Control Alexa. To do this, check if its MAC address (see: Where to find the MAC address of Voice Control Alexa?) is in the list of authorized devices. Step 5: If you are using a sleep timer function for your router, disable it. If you still cannot reconnect, follow these steps: Step 1: First, try assigning a fixed IP address to Voice Control Alexa by entering its MAC address (How do I find the MAC address or serial number of my product?) If you have an Android smartphone, you can also assign it a fixed IP address. If necessary, tutorials will help you to do this configuration: in your browser, indicate the brand and model of your router. Then, write "Static IP for MAC address" in your browser. Step 2: Next, you can check the Wi-Fi frequency band used by your router. Voice Control Alexa does not work with the 5 GHz frequency. Make sure that the 2.4 GHz mode is enabled. Step 3: If the Wi-Fi channel has been changed manually, it may no longer provide an optimal connection. Check that the "automatic Wi-Fi channel selection" mode is enabled. Step 4: Finally, if your network has one or more Wi-Fi extenders, make sure that each of these Wi-Fi access points has a different name (or SSID) and that Voice Control Alexa connects to the one with the strongest signal.
