If you are unable to connect your Alexa voice control to the Internet, follow these steps: Turn off the Alexa voice control using the main power switch, then turn it back on. Also, restart your router. If this does not solve the problem and you have already manually configured your router, it is possible that the router configuration is blocking the connection to the Alexa voice control. In this case, consult the router manual and follow these instructions: Step 1: In your computer's Internet browser, enter the router address in the format http://192.168.xx (for example, http://192.168.1.1). The address can be found in your router's manual. Step 2: You may be asked to enter a username and password. For most routers, this is "admin" and "admin". If not, check your manual. Step 3: You will now have access to your router's configuration interface. Step 4: Check that Alexa voice control is enabled in your parental control system, if you use one. To do this, check if the MAC address of the voice control is in the list of authorized devices (see: Where can I find the MAC address of the Alexa voice control?) Step 5: Disable the sleep function of the router, if you are using it. If you still cannot connect, follow these steps: Step 1: First try to assign a static IP address to the Alexa voice control by entering the MAC address (Where can I find the MAC address or serial number of my product?). If you have an Android smartphone, you can also assign it a static IP address. You can find tutorials on this configuration on the Internet if necessary. Enter the brand and model of your router in the search bar. Add "static IP for MAC address" (Static IP for MAC address). Step 2: Then check which Wi-Fi frequency band your router is using. Alexa voice control does not work on the 5 GHz frequency. Make sure that 2.4 GHz mode is enabled. Step 3: If the Wi-Fi channel has been changed manually, an optimal connection may no longer be possible. Check if the "automatic Wi-Fi channel selection" mode is enabled. Step 4: If your network has one or more Wi-Fi repeaters, check if all of these Wi-Fi access points have the same name (SSID) and if Alexa voice control is connected to the repeater with the strongest signal.
