How can we help?

Simple guide to network troubleshooting.

Wireless connection problems can be caused by physical interference or the Wi-Fi access point configuration. Here, we will first try to reduce the physical interference, and then we will offer you some simple steps to solve the problem with the Wi-Fi access point. Reduce interference Check the distance between the router and the Classe 300 EOS (3 m is the ideal distance). Walls and some surfaces can absorb the wireless signal. If the connection problem is not solved, you should install a Wi-Fi repeater in the room where you want to install the product. It is best if the Classe 300 EOS and the router are not: Behind a TV. Near a fish tank. In or under an object metallic. In a closed cabinet. Near a lot of cables and wires. Near a wireless device. If you have any of these devices in your home, temporarily turn them off and see if the problem is resolved: Laptops, tablets, etc. Wireless printers, speakers, and any other wireless devices. IP cameras. Microwave oven (when in use). Cordless phones. Basic access point setup Restart the Wi-Fi router. If there are multiple Wi-Fi access points (repeater/booster/extender) on the network, make sure to set different names (SSID) for each access point. Then make sure that the Classe 300 EOS is configured to connect to the access point with the strongest signal. To do this, open the following menu in the Home + Security app settings: Manage my home / Class 300 EOS room / Class 300 EOS configuration / network. Setting up an additional access point For the following steps, you will need to log into the router's configuration page. Check the router's user manual. Try updating the router to the latest firmware version. Try setting a simpler Wi-Fi password without special characters. Make sure the router does not have a MAC filter enabled (or check if the camera is whitelisted). Make sure access restrictions (parental controls, etc.) are disabled. Check if the router has a sleep function. If so, disable the feature Disable Wi-Fi channel restriction (enable automatic selection) or select channels 1, 6 or 11. If your router is 5 GHz compatible, check if 2.4 GHz is also enabled (Legrand Netatmo Bticino products can only connect to 2.4 GHz networks). Try disabling 5 GHz. Check if UPnP is enabled. It is recommended to use it. Try changing the current DNS servers to Google (Primary: 8.8.8.8 / Secondary: 8.8.4.4).
