Wireless connection issues can be caused by physical interference or by the Wi-Fi access point configuration. In this article, we will first try to limit the possible physical interference, and then we will offer you some simple steps to solve the Wi-Fi access point problem. Limiting interference Check the distance between the router and the EOS Classe 300 (3 m is the ideal distance). Sometimes the Wi-Fi signal is absorbed by walls or certain surfaces. If the connection problem is not resolved, you will need to provide a Wi-Fi repeater in the room where you want to install your product. The EOS Classe 300 and the router should preferably not be located: Behind a TV. Near an aquarium. In or Under a metal object. In a closed closet. Near a lot of cables and wires. Near any wireless networks If you have any of these devices in your home, temporarily disable them and see if the problem is resolved: Laptops, tablets, etc. Wireless printers, speakers, and all other wireless devices. IP cameras. Microwave oven (in use). Cordless phones. Basic access point setup Restart the Wi-Fi router. If your network has multiple Wi-Fi access points (repeater/amplifier/extender), you will need to set a different name (SSID) for each access point. Then make sure the Classe 300 EOS is configured to connect to the access point with the strongest signal. To do this, go to the settings menu (dial) / Network. Advanced access The following steps require you to log into the router's configuration page. Refer to the router's user manual. Try updating the router to the latest firmware version. Try setting a simpler Wi-Fi password without special characters. Make sure no MAC filter is enabled on the router (or check that the Classe 300 EOS is on the whitelist). Make sure that access restriction (parental control system, etc.) is disabled. Check if the router has a sleep function. If so, disable this feature. Disable Wi-Fi channel restriction (enable automatic selection) or select channels 1, 6 or 11. If your router is 5 GHz compatible, check that 2.4 Ghz is also enabled (Legrand Netatmo Bticino products can only connect to 2.4 GHz networks). Try disabling 5GHz. Make sure UPnP is enabled. Its use is recommended. Try changing the current DNS servers to Google's (Primary: 8.8.8.8 / Secondary: 8.8.4.4).
