Wi-Fi issues can be caused by physical interference or the Wi-Fi access point's configuration. In this article, we will first try to reduce physical interference and then suggest some simple steps to troubleshoot the Wi-Fi access point. Reduce Interference Check the distance between the router and the Classe 300EOS (3 m is the ideal distance). Walls and some surfaces can absorb the wireless signal. If the connection problem is not resolved, you will need to install a Wi-Fi repeater in the room where you plan to place the product. Preferably, the Classe 300EOS and router should not be located in the following locations: Behind a TV. Near a fish tank. Indoors or under an object metallic. In a closed cabinet. Near a lot of cables and wires. Near a wireless device. If you have any of these devices in your home, temporarily turn them off and see if the problem is resolved: Laptops, tablets, etc. Wireless printers, speakers, and all other wireless devices. IP cameras. Microwave oven (if used). Cordless phones. Basic access point setup: Restart the Wi-Fi router. If there are multiple Wi-Fi access points (repeaters/amplifiers/extender) on the network, make sure to set different names (SSIDs) for each access point. Then make sure that the Classe 300EOS is configured to connect to that access point that has the strongest signal. To do this, go to the Device Settings (gear) / Network menu. Advanced Access Point Configuration For the following steps, you need to log into the router's configuration page. Check the router's user manual. Try updating the router to the latest firmware version. Try setting a simpler WiFi password without special characters. Make sure no MAC filter is enabled on the router (or check that the Classe 300 EOS is whitelisted). Make sure access restriction (parental control, etc.) is disabled. Check that the router has a sleep function. If so, disable this feature. Disable WiFi channel restriction (enable automatic selection) or select channels 1, 6 or 11. If your router is 5 GHz compatible, check that 2.4 GHz is also enabled (Legrand Netatmo Bticino products can only connect to 2.4 GHz networks). Try disabling 5 GHz. Check if UPnP is enabled. It is recommended to use it. Try changing the current DNS servers to Google's (Primary: 8.8.8.8 / Secondary: 8.8.4.4).
